COVID-19 information

"The Church continues to be alive and active, but our buildings must close"

As of 25/3/20 we have received notification from the Church of England that in order to help prevent the spread of the virus, all church buildings are to be kept closed until further notice.

There will be no services of public worship, no weddings or baptisms, and funerals will be held only at the graveside or at a crematorium, with immediate family only. Emergency baptisms can be held at home or hospital.

As a Church we are working on ways of helping each other to stay connected and to continue in worship at this time. A simple service of Morning Prayer has been given out for people to use weekly or daily if they wish to. Our usual weekly news sheet has been expanded to include a reflection from one of our ministry team and prayers from one of our prayer leaders, along with a hymn choice and various other items to make us think or smile.

We have not yet ventured into the world of streaming worship (though it might yet happen!) but you can find the Church of England's streamed Sunday services here.

For daily prayer, you might want to download the Church of England's Time to Pray app, which is now free - find out more here.

And there are special prayers for the current situation here.

If you need to talk, please don't hesitate to ring one of the numbers on our contact page.

Every Blessing, Simon
